Avengers: Infinity War, the greatest and the most desperate saga

I will see Infinity War again today. And I wonder how the sequels such as "Spider Homecoming 2," and "Docter Strange 2" will be made after the specific ending of Infinity War.

Korean leaders make commitment for peace

The intention of Kim Jong-un is still unclear. President Trump is willing to make a summit with Kim. We should be cautious about the change of the situation.

Indian Bitcoin exchange hit fraud

The situation of India is complicated. Some people believe Bitcoin exchange is prohibited in India. indeed, the Indian government demands domestic banks not to deal with cryptocurrency exchanges. On the other hand, crypto-to-crypto trading posts are still available, furthermore, newly developing.

Avengers: Infinity War, the greatest and the most desperate saga

Avengers: Infinity War was released the day before yesterday Japan. I saw it on cinema (of course MX 4D!)

The storyline is sequential from Thor: Ragnarok. At the end of this film, Thor's spaceship encountered an unidentified one. It is the starship of Thanos.

Thanos is the greatest villain in Marvel Cinematic Universe. He is a Titanian. In "Avengers," Thanos gave Loki a cosmic troop to aid his revenge to Thor.

Thanos has an ideology that living creatures should be halved for the limitation of resources in the galaxy. Therefore, he is seeking a series of six Infinity Stones. If he gets all of them, he will able to destroy the universe itself with snapping fingers.

Thor, Loki, and their allies were stabbed by Thanos. Thanos is so strong that Thor cannot match him at all. Thanos demands Space Stone possessed by Loki for Thor's life. After all, Loki is killed, and Thanos gets Space Stone.

The remaining Stones are; Reality Stone possessed by Collector in Knowhere, Time Stone administered by Doctor Strange, Mind Stone attached in Vision, and Soul Stone whose location is unknown.

Escaping from the battle with Thanos, Hulk is brought to the earth. He calls for help to Ironman. At the same time, Dr. Strange notices the greatest danger is approaching.

Ironman decides to contact Captain America who has left him because of an ideological dispute. But before they get a meeting, Thanos' subordinates attack Scotland.

In this film, there are many battlefields described. Titan, Wakanda, and other planets are involved in deadly battles. And, most heroes are described as too weak to stop Thanos. Even Captain America, Winter Soldier as Whitewolf, and Black Panther, the hero of the latest Marvel movie, are defeated by Thanos. I felt desperate when seeing their final battle.

On the other hand, Thanos has a complicated mentality. He is cruel and merciless. He tends to torture enemies to get information from them. He seems to be joyful in suffering foes. But, he shows some positive or strange emotions to his adopted daughter Gamora. He seems to accept her hatred for him. This relationship takes an important role in this story.

The scenes are splendid. Every hero is extremely cool.

And at last, a surprising ending is waiting for you. You shall see with your eyes. I wailed after the completion of seeing it.

Personal Rating: 5 (excellent)

Simple device saves baby's life

A simple device attached to babies contributed to reducing fatality in Papua New Guinea.

ABC News: Papua New Guinea mothers use baby bracelets to reduce newborn deaths

In PNG, many babies are killed by hypothermia. The UN estimates 60-80% of newborns death are accountable for hypothermia. And in PNG, few mothers have enough clothes and environmental devices to keep their children warm. It is difficult for them always to keep an eye on their children.

Then, the UNICEF delivered a small wristwatch-like device to each family. This device can monitor the child's body temperature and make a warning if they are chilling.

As a result, the mortality rate of newborns was reduced by 41% in the region where the UNICEF intervened.

This episode tells us that a very cheap tool can protect lives in developing countries. We, living in a developed country, are fond of possessing multifunctional devices. But simple items created with sophisticated technology are also useful for many people.

Korean leaders make commitment for peace

Today, the leaders of North Korea and South Korea had a historic meeting.

The New York Times: North and South Korean Leaders’ Own Words in Meeting at the DMZ

Kim Jong-un, the dictator of the North stepped into South Korea for the first time, to make a meeting with Moon Jae-in, the President of South Korea. They committed aiming to construct a peaceful relationship with both nations.

The North and South are now in a status of a cease-fire after the Korean war. But the leaders shared an opinion to develop an official termination of the war until the end of this year.

Their commitment also mentioned abandonment of nuclear weapons. But there is no concrete term or process described at this time.

Kim Jong-un will negotiate with Donald Trump soon. It is likely that he intends to make some important commitment as a reward to Trump.

On the other hand, Moon Jae-in is well known for friendliness to North Korea. As he was elected after Park's resignation and arrest, South Korean people seem to desire conversation rather than fight with the North.

Anyway, while Japan government is shaken by scandals of politicians and officials, the world is rapidly changing. I welcome peaceful future.

Autism in France

Each nation has a unique history and culture. Therefore, policies are varied in each other by nations.

France is generally indifferent to autistic patients, according to the article below. It is estimated that there are 700,000 patients with autism, while only one-tenth are actually diagnosed.

The Conversation: France’s autism problem – and its roots in psychoanalysis

Considering the fact that autism attracts both public and specialized attention in recent in developed countries, this low diagnosis rate is surprising. In the US and the UK, as well as Japan, overdiagnosis is often discussed for autism.

In France, the psychoanalytic strategy seems to have an important position in clinical psychiatry.  For psychoanalytic point of view, autism is a result of a failed maternal relationship. Thus, treating mothers would be a solution.

For your reference, this idea is denied by the latest evidence-based psychiatry. Rather, this wrong concept has suffered many mothers most of whom were blamed by surrounded people.

Psychoanalysis is still an important point of view for understanding patients' thought and behaviors. But, its dominance has been lost for decades. Nowadays, there are few specialists of psychoanalysis.

Now, it is generally accepted that autism is a neurodevelopmental disorder. Therefore, patients with autism need special help including communication aid and training in their early childhood.

Amazon will ease international shipping

Amazon is going to enhance the availability of international shipping.

Reuters: Amazon launches new app feature targeting international shoppers

So far, some people out of the US, including me, are fond of buy items from Amazon.com. But many items have not applied to international shipping. People wanting items sold only abroad rely on an agent company managing the personal import instead of the customer.

The new scheme Amazon will introduce enables customers to choose several currencies for payment. As well, Amazon automatically calculates the duty for sending.

It is not sure whether Amazon's challenge will break the border between nations. The regulations are varied among each country. It is possible that you cannot get an item from a foreign nation because of the domestic legislation. It is unlikely Amazon will pierce the wall of the law.

On the other hand, there are several items published in the US available at Amazon.co.jp. We can buy many books and video in English in Japan. Anyway, Japan seems not the subject of this new scheme.

Toronto car plowing

Tronto city was struck by a sudden tragedy. A vehicle run into the sidewalk, to hit several pedestrians. So far, at least ten were killed, and 16 were injured.

The suspect was arrested by the police. His intention is still under investigation. Considering the situation and comments by bystanders, this event seems not an accident.

The suspect is said to have made a defiant comment to the policy before this incident. On the other hand, there is no proof that he belongs to an antisocial organization. It is not likely that his crime will be identified as a terror attack.

Independent: Toronto: Ten dead and 16 injured as van ploughs into crowd

This tragedy reminds me a similar incident occurred in Japan in 2008. A man in a van trampled over several pedestrians, to take seven people's life. At first, he was deemed to have expressed the hatred against rich people. But, the defendant himself denied such a motivation. He also criticized the prosecutor as their guess of his motivation for the crimes lacked the proof and reasonable estimation. And he made a laugh to people who imagine his thought for their convenience.

Therefore, I have to wait for a while. Perhaps,  the suspect will express his incentive for the crime. Listening to the words of the culprit is essential to prevent another case, regardless of the status of the culprit.

Pray for the victims.

North Korea really abandons nuclear weapons?

The situation around Korean peninsula is shaking dramatically. Kim Jong-un, the dictator of North Korea declared that he would stop the nuclear experiment.

France 24: North Korea says it no longer needs nuclear tests

According to the North, it has no more needs of nuclear weapon tests. It may mean that the North believe its monarch will survive long without the power of the nuclear weapon. On the other hand, Kim's comment is hardly trustworthy for many foreign leaders.

The US and Trump administration is willing to say that North's abandon of nuclear experiments is the victory of the US' diplomacy. But it seems Trump' intention is different.

The Washington Post: White House privately skeptical of North Korea’s plans to freeze nuclear testing

On the other hand, South Korea is still in a terrible situation. If the US troop is withdrawn from Korea, it will face a fear of unexpected attack of North Korea. Japan is at the same status as South Korea.

South China Morning Post: Kim Jong-un says he’s stopped testing nukes, but can South Koreans trust anything the North says?
http://www.scmp.com/news/asia/east-asia/article/2142748/kim-jong-un-says-hes-stopped-testing-nukes-can-south-koreans

Another possibility is that the financial status of North Korea does not allow further development of the nuclear weapons. If so, sanctions against the North has been effective. Then, gradual approach to the North to modify it to democracy is preferable, if possible.

Spotify into the stock market

Spotify, a music streaming service company, was posed to the stock market on Apr 3, 2018.

The Guardian: Spotify's stock market debut: everything you need to know

Its initial price was 150 USD per a stock. Its total value is estimated at 20-25 billion USD, according to market experts. So far, its price seems to be stable.

Spotify has been offering music streaming service. You can listen to popular music titles as long as you like for free. A premium account is needed to select specific titles.
The competitors of Spotify are Amazon, Apple, and Google, at a glance. They are all too big to defeat. To be honest, I was doubtful that Spotify would survive for years. In reality, Spotify's revenue is growing in recent years. Paying subscribers will reach 90 million.

Nowadays, the music industry is struggling to make a profit. Many publishers are difficult to collect the expenditure of making a master tape with selling the CD. Therefore, artists tend to encourage fans to come to the live concert. On the other hand, streaming services have partially replaced CD selling since they are less costly.

I am not sure Spotify will be successful. But it will be better for us to have many alternatives to enjoy music.

Owl type people die young?

People staying up late are likely to die younger, a study found.

Straits Times: Night owls risk dying younger, should sleep in: Study

This study was performed in the UK as a large prospective cohort. The participants were categorized into lark or owl according to their identity. As a result, there is ten percent higher risk of fatality in six years. Waking late at night group were also suffering from psychological problems.

Same as other non-interventional studies, there is a possibility of confounder between the exposure and outcome. People who stay at night might have insomnia, depression, or other psychiatric diseases.  Then, going bed early would not prolong their health.

The researchers hypothesize that there are genetic factors to determine your circadian rhythm. Therefore, waking up in the early morning for owl people is no longer beneficial. Instead, avoiding jobs which need early wakeup will be preferable. This concept is rather unique.

I saw another survey that a considerable amount of teenagers are owl styled. If true, the time high school begins should be delayed.

Suicide machine is invented

A suicide machine was presented at a funeral show in Amsterdam.

This machine, looking like a cold-sleep pod, was invented by an Australian euthanasia activist Philip Nitschke and Dutch designer Alexander Bannink. All you have to do is to press the button lying in the pod. Then you will be surrounded by Nitrogen gas which brings you to unconsciousness soon.

The pod called Sarco also equips a virtual reality glasses. You can see a 3D vision for your last sight.

Straits Times: Futuristic suicide pod draws crowds at Amsterdam funeral show

The machine will be easily created with a 3D printer, according to the inventor. They claim that suicide itself is no more crime, thus taking your life is your right. Not surprisingly, this presentation ignited a broad argument.

To be honest, some people will be relieved by this machine, I think. It would be a little less bad to use it compared to throw your body to the train. By the way, the 3D glasses attached to the machine is nonsense.

The issue is, however, how many people can decide to commit suicide on their sane will. Even if they truly want to kill themselves, their family and neighbors never admit it. Most of us are too weak to accept the will of suicide, I believe. After all, this kind of machine will never be a solution for mitigating the suffering of life.

Research for rejuvenation

Aging is a fate of all mortals. We get old, to face the last day of the life.

But, is it a truth of nature? Surprisingly, there are species which do not get old. For example, Heterocephalus glaber, a kind of rat, is free from aging. Actually, they live around 30 years, whereas other rats live only for some years. They are considered to have an ability to repair telomere, a component of the gene. Cells which have lost telomere are no more able to regenerate themselves.

It is uncertain if the research of Heterocephalus glabe will bring us an eternal life. There are several other approaches for longer life. Recently, a research team composed of Harvard and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) published a new finding in which supplementing some ingredients restored the blood vessels in mice. The blood vessel is an important element for measuring the age of mammals. People with fresh vessels will keep vitality for a long time.

Indepentent: Key symptom of old age reversed 'surprisingly easily', study finds

Rejuvenation has been a fairy tale. But it will be no more a dream. And, the human being will face a new challenge: how to use the prolonged life.

Kraken shut down Japanese exchange

Kraken, an American cryptocurrency exchange decided to abandon the trading post for Japanese residents.

Bitcoinist: KRAKEN EXCHANGE DECIDES TO CLOSE DOWN JAPANESE OPERATIONS

Kraken is famous for its security as well as the amount of deal. It has been opened for Japanese, but most traders use Euro.

Kraken says that the reason for the retreat from Japan market is to focus on another field. It suggests the possibility of reentry into Japanese operation in the future.

I think, however, that Kraken will be difficult to gain the official permission for cryptocurrency business in Japan. The Japanese government has established the registry of cryptocurrency exchanges. The administrator investigates the quality of the company before permitting the operation. There are only a few registered companies in Japan. Kraken is now a equivalents company, gaining temporary permission. It has to be officially certified as an exchange until the next March, otherwise, permission will be expired.

After the CoinCheck incident, the investigation by the Japan government became strict. Kraken seems to recognize it is difficult to get the certification.

It is very sorry for Japan residents to lose an alternative for cryptocurrency trading.

Legal age of sex consent

In France, there is a debate to set the legal age of consent for sexual behaviors at 15.

The Conversation: Why the age of sexual consent continues to be a worldwide challenge

So far, the prosecutor has to prove the fact of coercion or physical force to make sexual intercourse to obtain a rape conviction even if the victim is a child.  Children are often difficult to express the situation at the contact with the culprit exactly. They may misunderstand the damage they were inflicted.

In most developed countries, there is a legal age of sexual consent. Every sexual conduct with children under age should be deemed as rape or sexual assault.

But, the setting of age is controversial. In the UK, the legal age of sex is 16. But in reality, one-third of teenagers experience sexual conducts before 16. If they are caught by the authority, the boy who enjoyed sex with his girlfriend would be arrested as a raper. It looks nonsense.

On the other hand, the legal age of sex is set at 13 in Japan. Do you believe 13 yo girls can select a sexual partner? Some foreign people misunderstand that Japanese adolescents are extremely open to sexual behaviors. As far as I know, few girls are willing to have sex unless the conditions match. Also, sexual conduct for money with girls under 18 is prohibited by every prefectural legislation. Unfortunately, not a few men are arrested for breaching this regulation, every of which claims that they did not know the girl was under 18.

The situation is gradually changing. Recently, adolescents are far more matured physically compared to the previous era, thanks to the improved nutritional status. On the other hand, the age at which a person is deemed as an independent person is delaying. Some centuries ago, 15 yo was the age to be married. But now, many 20s people have no family members. These factors should be consistent with the legal procedure for constructing a fair and comfortable society.

Will smart speakers ease disabled people?

Smart speakers, such as Google Home and Amazon Echo, are said to change our daily life. But are their utility applicable for all people?

In this article below, the author's father was struggling to communicate with Alexa, Amazon's AI interface. Many blind people have acquired a communication pattern which is a little different to those of ordinary people. Alexa's voice recognition program will take some time to be optimized for people with disability.

The Atlantic: Alexa Is a Revelation for the Blind

At a glance, a voice controller is very useful for blind people. But in reality, it is not entirely sure. We unconsciously gain massive information from every sensory organ. Voice is never independent of gesture, intonation, and vision, though I hardly recognize.

In general, development of technology enables disabled people to be reintegrated in the society. On the other hand, the digital divide has been apparent in the last couple of decades. We should be aware which kind of devices and services are the most useful for each people with disability.

Indian Bitcoin exchange hit fraud

Coinsecure, an Indian trading post of cryptocurrency, said that it got stolen Bitcoins equivalent to millions of dollars.

Reuters: India's Coinsecure exchange says $3 million worth of bitcoins stolen

According to Coinsecure, a total of 438 Bitcoins was sent from secured wallets to an unknown address. Coinsecure declared that coins of customers keeping in the trading post would not be damaged because it would compensate the stolen Bitcoins with its own fund.

Coinsecure mentioned the necessity of health regulation by the authority so that functional trading would be guaranteed. But, Indian banks keep negative attitude to cryptocurrency exchanges.

As I wrote before, Coincheck, a famous Japanese cryptocurrency exchange, was struck by massive fraud. The value of stolen coins is estimated as hundred times of the Indian case.  Although Coincheck compensated the damaged assets, it was bought by Monex, a leading stock company.

Similar incidents will occur shortly, I am afraid. The more popular cryptocurrency becomes, the more crime case happens. It suggests the potential value of blockchain and cryptocurrency scheme, ironically.

The US started to attack Syria

The US strikes Syrian facilities on April 13, 2018.

Donald Trump blamed Syria for using chemical weapons with harsh language. He declared that the US would not cease fire until Syria stops to use or develop chemical weapons.

The New York Times: US, Britain and France Strike Syria Over Suspected Chemical Weapons Attack

The UK and France, as allies of the US, is collaborating to the sky attack. Theresa May emphasized that the UK is the greatest friend of the US. Emmanuel Macron said that he had a proof that Syria had used chemical weapons several times.

So far, the United Nations planned to send an investigating group about the development of chemical weapons to Syria. But Russia dismissed this proposal. Rusian government is close to Asad Administration in Syria. Of course, this attack will deteriorate the relationship between the US and Russia.

I hardly believe the US is concerned about the existence of chemical weapons in Syria. There are many types of weapons which should be prohibited other than chemical weapons. It is likely that the US aimed to take a superior position to Russia in the world. I do not think the attack would bring the peace to the middle east, unfortunately.

Google's Blogger setting updated

Today, I noticed the preference of my Blogger web app page was changed.

Some items on the site were translated into Japanese, such as "new post" to "atarashii toko." And the mention "Your language preference for Blogger can be changed in your Google Account settings" appeared in front of the page.

I am not sure that Blogger became to be applicable for Japanese, or this change is accidental. There are already many Japanese people using Blogger as a tool of blog writing. Therefore, it is unlikely that Google had not provided a Japanese interface in Blogger.

Then, why Google offered a Japanese interface for me just now? I do not know.

Anyway, I will continue writing English entries, both for you and me.

How to Brexit without pain: the gamebook can tell you

The discussion about Brexit is still confusing. Some politicians call for the second vote for Brexit. Theresa May, the Prime Minister of the UK, is deliberately proceeding to form the legislation of hard Brexit. But there are many opponents around her, and the support rate of leading Conservative Party is decreasing.

The current situation was predicted a couple of years ago. Many researchers of political science have mentioned the difficulty of Brexit without pain and confusion. And, Dave Morris, a famous gamebook creator is one of the persons who recognized the tough situation.

Just recently, a gamebook whose theme was Brexit itself was published, entitled "Can you Brexit?: Without Breaking Britain." In this interactive novel, you control the head of the leading party and work for the political decision making. There are several subjects in this work: immigration, rights of current citizens belongs to the EU, negotiation about the cost paid to the EU, and so on. You discuss each theme with many counterparts in this book. according to your choice, the four parameters (authority, economy, goodwill, and popularity) will be altered from 52%. You should keep each parameter as high as possible for stabilized administration.

Amazon.com: Can You Brexit?: Without Breaking Britain Paperback

This book was written by Morris in collaboration with Jamie Thomson, a political scientist. I have played it only partially but noticed that the plot in this book is so realistic that any players would experience the tough situation of the Prime Minister.

It is surprising that Morris might be prepared for the publication for a couple of years. This gamebook has over 800 paragraphs. It seems to have taken several months for completing the writing. I respect for Morris' effort.

KAIST faced a boycott but resolved

There is a controversy whether an AI can have an ethical mind. Some researchers are warning that robots with an AI would become a serial killer.

Although I do not support this idea entirely, we should be aware of the risk of creating a mass killing machine with an AI. Most people hesitate to take a trigger against a living person in front of you even if he is an arch enemy of you. But an AI is free from emotion. If you input the condition of shooting the gun, the robot will adhere the rule.

Thus, a robot can be an excellent war machine, as if in the film of Ironman. And there are some academic facilities are engaged in the development of the new weapons.

Recently, Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) was harshly criticized by abroad researchers. They believed that KAIST was committing to develop AI weapons collaborating with Hanwha Systems.

Toby Walsh, a Professor of Artificial Intelligence at the University of New South Wales in Sydney called for a boycott of the KAIST's project to AI researchers. His statement was supported by a total of 50 researchers.

The leader of KAIST commented that it had no intention to create the human-killing machines. This reply seemed to have satisfied the active researchers. Now, the boycott has been canceled.

The Engineer: AI and robotics researchers call off boycott of KAIST

I believe the possibility that AI technology will bring us a happier life. But, all useful tools have a dark side. Knives, cars, and the internet can be used in the war. We should continue to observe the development of AI industry.

Murder rate

Murder is one of the crimes to be hated. Taking a human life cannot be permitted regardless of situations.

And the murder rate of each nation is various all over the world. Not surprisingly, Europe and Northern America are relatively safe regions. Of course, Japan is the safest country at least in the risk to be murdered.

On the other hand, Latin America is the deadliest region. A fourth of murder cases occur on this continent. And the murder rate seems not to be decreasing despite the civilization. Rather, according to the article below, rapid urbanization is one of the causes of increased murders.

The Economist: How to cut the murder rate

I agree with the opinion of this article. In some nations, police are not trustworthy, unfortunately. In such regions, the only reliable thing for you is yourself. Thus, if you cannot kill the enemy on your own, you will be killed.

Furthermore, gangs become powerful in regions where the police cannot be functional. Gangs deal with illegal drugs. And some drug-use is highly relevant to violent behaviors.

It seems that Colombia successfully reduced the murder rate by improving the reputation of the police. Making citizens trust the authority is an easy way to raise the level of social security.

Japanese are said not to trust the government, according to some questionnaire survey. I do not think so. Most Japanese never believe they would be tricked by the police. Rare cases of misconduct by the police are emotionally discussed in Japan. Silly.

Jaw-attached device reads your mind?

A team of MIT developed a wearing device which can read your mind, according to the article below.

Tech Crunch: MIT’s new headset reads the ‘words in your head’

This device, called AlterEgo, is to be attached to your jaw. And it can read the words presented in your head. The team says that a person can talk to the machine via his neurotransmitters. After a series of training, the examinees became to be able to tell 92% of their thoughts to the device.

To be honest, I hardly believe this report. First of all, your words exist only in your brain. It is impossible that neurological signals translatable into a specific sequence of words spread to surface regions of the human body. Second, your brain must choose some specific words from many candidates in every second. Thus, there are enormous neurological bursts most of which are noises in your brain. I cannot expect an external device to compensate your thoughts.

I guess this device is similar to so-called neuron-mouse developed several years ago. Neuron-mouse is a head-mounted gear to manipulate the mouse cursor. It was said to have been reading your electroencephalogram. Some people claimed they could control the mouse via their electroencephalogram. But it seems not correct.

Human-brain interface is a fascinating theme to be developed. But it is not easy to realize the "alter-ego."

Malfunctioning Nexus 5X

My new smartphone, Nexus 5X, is suspiciously working recently.

Occasionally, it puts light on automatically. Furthermore, it turns into the flight mode without my manipulation.

The other day, a line stamp was sent out of my intention.

These suspicious movements occur immediately after I had some works with the smartphone. Therefore, it is likely that there are some failures on the sensors or touch panel of Nexus 5X.

Surprisingly, there are several similar reports on the internet. Thus, these strange phenomena may be due to an error of Android program.

If there will last erroneous works, I have to refresh my Nexus 5X. Annoying.

Park was sentenced to imprisonment

Korean ex-President Mark Geun-hye was sentenced to 24 years imprisonment.

The Guardian: South Korea: former president Park Geun-hye sentenced to 24 years in jail

Park was administering the Korean government for years. But she was dismissed by impeachment vote after a political scandal. The prosecutor investigated Park to prove her misconducts. And the court admitted almost all claims of the prosecutor.

My past entry: President Park Geun-hye dismissed

Park did not present the court the day, suggesting the resistance to the court decision. In contrast, the verdict was broadcasted for the first time in Korea after the legislation was amended.

I feel a little fearful to know the news. Indeed Park might make a mistake. But, Korean citizens look to consume their complaints through igniting the hatred to Park. I am not certain that Park really did damage to Korean citizens' life.

Of course, Park will appeal to the higher court. But the court decision would never be changed.

Can dementia be preventable?

Dementia is one of the last diseases I would like to have. It harms not only the patient but also caregivers. In miserable cases, the caregiver can even take the patient's life.

I have written some entries about the prevention of dementia. But as far as I know, there are no definite ways to release me from the fear of dementia.

My past entry: Preventing dementia

My past entry: A third, or at least 5% of dementia is preventable

My past entry: Weight training may prevent you from dementia

My past entry: The possibility of mushrooms to prevent dementia

People with higher education rarely have dementia, according to some studies. But, there are no clinical trials to estimate the preventing effect of education. It is possible that intelligent persons are simply not likely to be deemed as an idiot when their intellectual level declined.

The Conversation: Six things you can do to reduce your risk of dementia

On the other hand, physical activity is likely to be beneficial. It is not only for the prevention of dementia. Maybe regular exercise activates your blood vessels, leading to keeping your blood flow smooth.

Other than the solution referred in the article above, I recommend you not to drink excessively. Alcohol does damage your brain. There is controversy how much you should drink in a day for keeping your health. And not a few physicians claim there is no safe limit for alcohol drinking.

Kill your boss? Stress in workplace

It is said that the worst stressor in most working places is the relationship with your boss. In Japan, "power harassment" is focused recently. Lawsuit cases are gradually increasing. And some labors, typically depressed after working, are identified as a victim of an industrial accident.

The situation seems similar in the UK. According to the article below, a tenth of British workers imagines they would kill their boss.

International Business Times: Horrible Bosses: 1 in 10 Brits have imagined killing their boss

The samples of this survey gathering over 2,200 people's data were attendants of Expert Market, an online business services comparison site. Thus, many participants may consider changing the job. On the contrary, workers satisfying their job seldom visit such a website.

Therefore, the result that 10% of British workers feel critically hostile to their boss can be exaggerated. Nonetheless, it should be admitted that not a few workers are annoyed by the human relationship in the workplace.

There are some solutions to deal with your boss minimizing stress. If you have some common hobbies with your boss, it will be easier for you to behave friendly with your boss. Otherwise, you can have another person, either in your company or out, to listen to your complaints.

You should be aware of the fact that stress emerged in the human relationship should also be dissolved in the human interaction. If you take alcohol, drugs, gambling, and other ways to alleviate the stress due to the human relationship, there is a risk of indulgence to abusive solutions.

Satellite Heaven fell into sea

A Chinese satellite, Tiangong-1, fell into the earth very recently.

Fortunately, it dropped into the Pacific Ocean harmlessly. But I feel fearful to imagine that it is approaching Tokyo city. Indeed, it is almost impossible to control the rendezvous point of falling satellite.

There is already a large amount of space debris. Developed countries have been eager to rocket satellites since the mid 20th centuries. And now, researchers are arguing about the adverse influence of debris in the future.

The Strait Times: Chinese satellite Tiangong-1 crashes back to Earth: 5 things you need to know about space junk

I believe the risk of space debris is very limited now. And it makes us difficult to become serious about this issue. It is a common feature of the environmental issues. Nowadays, space is the last frontier of the human being. We should be responsible for establishing the international rules for sustainable use of the space.

Fairy of migraine

A migraine is one of the major causes of a headache. Especially in youth, women, recurrent pain following aura and nausea is so serious that some patients want even to pierce their skull to drain cerebral fluid.

Surprisingly, drilling holes in the skull were believed as a solution for a migraine the other day. There are fossilized skulls whose body is punctured found in many ruins.

According to the article below, there had been a superstition that fairy of a migraine is a cause of a headache. Not only in the ancient era but also even in 19th centuries, trepanation surgery was adopted to several cerebral diseases including a migraine.

The Conversation: Drilling holes in the skull was never a migraine cure – here’s why it was long thought to be

Indeed, puncturing the skull has some indication as a rational treatment such as chronic subdural hematoma. But its purpose is to drain the leaked blood. Reducing intracranial pressure is a solution for other diseases like hydrocephalus. But, of course, there is no need to pierce the skull for curing it.

The history of medicine is the history of experiments. Many patients have been victimized through the development of the modern treatment. Wh should be aware of the contribution of the patients and physicians before.

US visa applicants will have to submit SNS history

The US seems to tighten visa applicants more.

The administration demands all people who attempt to gain the visa to submit their phone, email as well as the history of the social network.

The State Department estimates that the new rule od visa revision will affect approximately 710,000 applicants and 14,000,000 non-immigrant visa applicants.

LiveMint: US asks visa applicants to submit their previous phone, email, social media details

The US government will intend to exclude suspected people from entering the US. It seems rational considering Euro nations are facing the risk of terror attacks. Collecting personal information of visa applicants may be valid as far as their purpose is justified. For example, Australia has strict rules of bringing living things for maintaining the environment.

But, I am doubtful that the investigators can distinguish terrorists from most other innocent applicants. SNS history can be easily disguised by people who can fabricate a passport. This policy will raise the risk of dismissing irrelevant people.

This decision is consistent with Trump's exclusive policy. I do not support it, apparently.

The way to billionaire

To be honest, I bought a large number of bitcoins three years ago and sold almost all of them at the highest point.

Therefore, I have lots of money now so that I need not work as far as I live. Hahaha!
