Finally, I came back to Rome.
The first day of Italy I could not walk around Rome, so I was willing to go sightseeing.

Rome was so huge city that I could not look around Rome completely in a few days. The general view of buildings was stylish and relatively calm. However, there were enormous people.

All in all, the Colosseum was the face of Rome.
When I visited, a part of it was under maintenance.

The shape was gigantic.

And there were huge walls inside.

This is an internal view of the Colosseum.

I heard that the floor of the Colosseum was gotten rid of for the alternative use in the ancient era. I could see several bare cells underground. They may be used to shut slaves and beasts in.

How great it is!

After seeing the Colosseum, I went to see some ruins in Rome nearby.

This is an ancient shrine. I imagined Roman and Greek myths.

This was an ancient city.

Then, I walked around Rome city. This is the Mitsukoshi building in Rome.

It is a real Roman holiday.

At last, I visited Trevi Fountain.

The square around the Trevi Fountain was extremely bustling.

It's my vacation.
Even though there might be lots of sights worthy to visit, I was completely satisfied with Italy.

The next destination of mine was Florence.

Florence was quite a beautiful city. Compared with Bologna, Florence was more urban and elegant.

This is Arno liver. Extremely beautiful!

This is Palazzo Vecchio, past government office of Firenze republic. It looked noble.

The most famous building in Florence must be Duomo, a huge cathedral.

Inside Duomo was also extremely solemn and elegant.

At night there was also a giant.

I ate Spaghetti Bongore and Trippa (boiled stomach of a cow with tomato).

Of course I visited the Uffizi Museum too. The Birth of Venus and Primavera were both splendid.

After visiting a market in Naples, I went to Bologna..

Bologna is an ancient fortress town. It looked different from Naples. The walls of houses are all brown. And there were a lot of arcade around the streets.

So, Bologna was far more elegant than Naples. However, I saw scribbings drawn on walls everywhere in Bologna.

This is one of the main gates of Bologna.

These are twin towers in Bologna. I was told that the second tower was decided to be built because the first tower had been found to be leaning.

I climbed up the tower toward the upstairs.

The landscape of Bologna was so splendid.

I ate lasagna and Palma ham, which were introduced as very best foods in CNN.

At last, I watched flower market in the next morning.

Bologna was so pleasant town. I also went to the University of Bologna which was the oldest university in the world. I was impressed with the solemnity.

The next day I went to a museum in Naples.
There are numerous museum in Italy. I think most of them equip wonderful arts.

This is a national museum. Taking a photograph was allowed inside.

Some of the statues were partially collapsed. Beautiful, nonetheless.

I had seen this tool before. It is Takoyaki maker, isn't it?

This is Takoyaki, a western Japanese casual food.

Italian is also famous as pasta eater. In a supermarket I saw a great amount of pasta.

In addition, Napoli Pizza is one of the best cuisines in the world. It is ranked 2nd in the CNN best foods.
I went to DA Mikele, a world famous Pizzelia in Naples.

Because the store was so crowded, I chose to take away my pizza.

This is Margelita Pizza. I remembered that I had forgotten to take a photo when I ate almost half.

Not to mention, extremely delicious. In addition, it costs only 4 euro! It is a treasure in Naples.

Vacation in Italy (3)

Naples is not always pleasant.

I was nearly tricked by a person. He was approaching me at a station. He was kind to teach me the way to buy the ticket. He manipulated a vending machine instead of me. After the setup, he asked me for some money. I did not pay for him. To begin with, the destination he set was wrong.

I tried to ride on a ship to go to Amalfi. I went to the port.

I asked a vender, "Would you like to sell a ticket to Amalfi?"
The reply was surprising, "Tomorrow".

I had checked it up that a ship to Amalfi would launch at 13 o'clock. I was confused. Then I went to another ticket station nearby the port. Fortunately, a woman sold me a ticket immediately.

However, I was notified that the ship I had reserved could not sail today due to bad weather.

How about selling an inactive ticket? I returned to the station for compensation. The vender accepted my claim. In conclusion, I stayed the port for 2 hours in vain.

I changed my plan to use a train.
I reached Solento at 14 o'clock. It was also a beautiful place.

By the seashore, there were some tropical plants with parakeets.

And I saw Mount Vesuvius at the seashore. It was quite grand.

There were lots of fantastic landscapes around Solento.

I rode on a bus to Amalfi.
The highway was zigzagging. I was too fearful to drive on the way. However, the driver was extremely optimistic and cheerful. He was always singing loudly. Some passengers sang together. It was quite Naporitanic.

Positano was a countryside in southern Italy. It looked interesting. Houses were crowded together around the cliff.

I wanted to walk around at Positano for a while. However, I founded that many people failed to ride on a bus at the Positano bus station due to full jamming. So I abandoned to get off the bus.
