Homeopathy is banned from leading hospital in the UK

The UK seems to have decided to dismiss homeopathy, at last.

The Royal London Hospital for Integrated Medicine (RHLIM), formerly the Royal London Homeopathic Hospital, which has been the largest public-funded homeopathy provider will no more support homeopathy.

Independent: NHS stops funding for homeopathy at UK's largest alternative medicine hospital

Homeopathy is a representative of so-called pseudoscience. Its effect has not been proven so far. On the contrary, well-structured studies suggest that homeopathy is no more beneficial.

Furthermore, homeopathy is likely to indirectly harmful to the health. Homeopathy lovers often reject ordinary medicines, leading to deterioration of the diseases which are curable. There are fatal cases reported due to biased treatment policy.

Also in Japan, some people are fond of utilizing homeopathy. I never support them.

But NHS had been providing financial support to homeopathy-relevant organizations despite the evidence. I felt disappointed to the policy underestimating clinical evidence. Therefore, the present news is relieving.

There may be some medical treatments beyond our imagination. We should be openminded to the miracles. However, homeopathy is not the one, according to our best knowledge.
