Sperm is decreasing in men

Recent environmental changes cause several influences on our daily life. Furthermore, our body has been gradually modified unintentionally.

Changing is a form of evolution. Even if it seems not adaptative, there are some rationales behind it.

But, there is shocking a report about recent finding. The amount of sperm of men is decreasing through these some decades.

According to this study, sperm concentration fell by 52.4% from 1973 to 2011. Of course, there are several points of discussion before validating the result. Counting method may be so different between now and some decades ago. The characteristics of the subjects can also be inconsistent. But this study seems properly structured at a glance.

The Guardian: Sperm counts among western men have halved in last 40 years – study

If the result is true, what does it mean, and what should we do? Is air and soil pollution so serious that our species is going to decline?

It may be true that the human being needs fewer babies than in the ancient era. Thus, it is possible that nature itself planned lesser birth rate. It is totally unclear where we will go.
