Motorway bridge collapsed in Italy
The bridge was too important for citizens to be shut down in advance of the collapse, according to the media. If the authority had prohibited the use of the bridge, people would have been intolerable to the inconvenience. It is so-called "Cassandra's curse."
It means that similar cases will occur also in Japan.

Summertime debate in Japan
Previously, NHK, the national broadcasting organization, published the result of a poll in which the majority of Japanese were affirmative to the introduction of summertime.
Now, however, the media are together against summertime. What happened in the media and citizens' attitude in these days? I have been against the introduction of summertime. To be honest, I hardly understand the necessity of considering the introduction of summertime in Japan.
