So far, at least nine people were killed by the earthquake. Most of them were considered to be caught by the landslide.
earthquake frequently occurs in Japan. But its probability differs by each region. Many researchers predict that Tokai region will be struck by a gigantic earthquake within some decades. But, Hokkaido, as well as Kumamoto attacked in 2016 were not deemed as so risky than central Japan.
Even now many people are suffering from crippled lifelines. I hope they will be recovered as soon as possible.
