Canada seems to have a positive influence on the world, according to a new survey.
Independent: These are the countries with the most positive influence on the world
This study was conducted by IPSOS Mori, an international organization dealing with marketing and media research.
The data shows that 81% of the participants believe Canada has a positive influence on the world. On the other hand, only 40% agree about the US.
But this is not this chart biased? The participants were tens of thousands of people among 25 countries including Japan and South Korea. On the other hand, there are only 11 countries as the subjects to be evaluated about influence on the world.
In the original reports, some other charts are also shown. Regarding self-perception, 63% of Japanese believe that Japan is having an overall positive influence.
Interestingly, each nation has a difference in the discrepancy between self-conception and global appraisal. Russia, India, and the US are not so positively evaluated as they think about their own nations.
Japan and Korea lack the data of global impression. I estimate that Japanese and Koreans are both rather pessimistic. And I believe Korea can be appraised more in the world.
