Sentenced Russian activist and abuse of psychiatry

Mr. Alexei Navalny, a Russian anti-government blogger, was sentenced to 5 years in prison for embezzlement on July 18, 2013.

According to the court decision, he had conspired to steal timber worth 16m roubles ($500,000) in 2009 when working as an adviser to Kirov's governor.
His trial was argued for its political intention as I mentioned. I do not know the actual meaning of his behavior but I feel this prosecution is quite arbitrary. Identification of one’s malice to do damage financially to others is very vague.

An arrest on a separate charge is a common way for the government to eliminate a political enemy. It is not different in other countries, to say nothing of the case of Mr. Julian Assange.
In Japan, Mr. Koichi Hamada, a great politician belonged to Liberal Democratic Party was prosecuted for the breach of trust. As far as I understand, he simply failed to get interests with risky investment. Mr. Hamada died during the trial in the age of 83.

As a specialist, I have to refer to the abuse of psychiatry. The Past Soviet Union had utilized a mental hospital as a concentration camp. Persons who opposed to communism were hospitalized compulsorily, deemed as mentally disordered. Many psychiatrists participated in this activity.
We have to be quite critical to such rude behaviors.

By the way, it is numbered as one of the 3 abuses of psychiatry.
Do you know the other 2 things? They are, holocaust in Germany for the patients with mental disorders, and excessive amount of mental hospitals in Japan.
