New PC with WIN8 by Panasonic (1)
Now, this is the Let's Note AX2.
Its spec are Intel Core i5-3317 processor (1.7GHz), 4GB RAM, 128GB SSD, average quality as an ultrabook.
Several connections are equipped such as LAN port, VGA D-sub 15pins, USB3.0s and HDMI.
The screen is 11.6inch 16:9 TFT touch display with 1366*768 dots, to be honest, not so good. Unfortunately, its view angle is so narrow that I can not use it with tablet style lying on the bed.
And I actually touched the new PC...
Oh, several problems!
Touch pad is not smooth, mouse pointer sometimes shakes.
Networking is hardly working with tethering via smartphone with USB connection. (WiFi was smooth.)
Touch type board do not automatically appear when display is not folded. It makes difficult to use it as so called Photo-Stand style.
Japanese IME "ATOK" is not adapted to Windows 8. Of course it is not a fault of Panasonic.
(To begin with, Windows 8 is immature OS, I think.)
Moreover, sometimes it is happened that keyboard typing is not working. It is critical!
Umm... usability is not adequate now. I must wait for some patch programs and applications.
Now, Panasonic company is in crisis.
They presented that they would retreat from solar panel project recently. Their financial condition is so catastrophic that the president commented that "We are loser."
NHK News (Japanese) *deleted
Japanese famous company is now struggling.
I am afraid that my newest Let's Note would be the last product of Panasonic.
Good luck to Panasonic.

New PC with WIN8 by Panasonic (1)
I bought a new PC, "Let's Note AX2" by Panasonic.
This is a new model as "Let's note" which is a brand of mobile PC produced by Panasonic.
"Let's Note" series is very famous in Japan especially in business persons. From my experience, many physicians and pharmacists in Japan use "Let's Note" or Mac Book.
One of advantage of this series is toughness. Almost all PC of this bland has passed the 76cm drop examination. They are also well resistant against strong pressure. In Japan many business person has to go to office via crowded train. So toughness of the mobile PC is an important factor.
"Let's Note AX2" is the first model as an Ultrabook in Panasonic.
It is thinner than previous model. The thickness is only 18mm.
It equips touch panel display, which can be rotated 360 degree. So I can use this also as a tablet style PC. It's cool!
However "Let's Note AX2" is expensive. Even if the cheapest model costs about $2,000. Is it truly an Ultrabook?
Indeed, Panasonic always provides high-quality PCs with high costs. For Panasonic, AX2 is not an Ultrabook but a new style PC, maybe.
By the way, how is usability of this newest PC?
It is astonishing for me...

Asymmetric World
The world is asymmetric.
In the past I had been told not to do the thing we do not want to be done.
Now, it is the common sense that my sense is your nonsense.
The more diversified the world is, the more clarified the asymmetry of the world.
We live in asymmetric world.
